INSPIRED BY THE MOVEMENT OF THE SEA AND THE TIDES OF THE SOUL

The endless movement of water, combined with an instinctive and reflective connection to the sea, is the source of my inspiration. My daily encounters with the shoreline provide me with abundant, dramatic possibilities for my imagination.

I’ve always felt that water is a source, not a resource. The evocative nature of the sea can hold memories and scripts from the past. My art is shaped by waves of memory, where I explore the balance between movement and stillness, memory and motion.

My use of plaster on canvas is my way of expressing the textures of the enduring coastal landscape I am surrounded by. My paintings are sometimes described as meditative explorations of form and feeling, expressing the elemental nature of water. Click to discover more.
