Painting with oils has always been Vanessa's preferred medium. She studied at Chelsea School of Art, London, under John Barnicoat. After a period of working as a Portrait Photographer Vanessa returned to her first passion, oil painting.

Vanessa's inspiration comes from the ebb and flow of nature. She is drawn to the elements of water, its tidal occurrence and power.

Vanessa's work is emotionally charged, she uses both colour and form to unveil her feelings and she has produced a series of striking canvases which can be viewed in the collection pages.
